Response to the First, Second, and the Third march.
First march-
In the first march 770 people were arrested for marching in what they believed in.
It was unfair, and not right. they never got to march the full way to Montgomery.
Second march-
The first march didn't go to well. they marched and only got to
Edmund Pettus Bridge when the cops started to beat the citizens with billy clubs and tear gas. They were terribly abused. The beating got caught on tape. So therefore, that Sunday became bloody Sunday.
Third march
-
On the second march they got all the way to the end of the bridge. There, they found
a barricade of state troopers. To avoid conflict, Martin Luther King Jr. and all the other people marching turned back. The second march, also not a success.
